This role requires a skilled accounting professional at the stage of their career where they are looking to grow rapidly through exposure to a larger organisation with strong commercial focus. Using your existing base of technical accounting skills developed in a Big 4 or similar large firm environment, you will pride yourself on learning quickly, strong Excel skills and ideally you will have some practical experience as a management accountant or with reporting tools (OLAP). The organisation requires someone who can be stretched to the next level, with sound business acumen and the ability to develop relationships across a wide range of stakeholders within the business. Focusing on a huge $1.8 billion project, the opportunity to grow rapidly is strong. Key duties include: Financial modelling for a wide variety of projects including decision support modelling for Directors, the Finance team and Executive Budgeting and forecasting including ownership of specified projects Coordinating 6 monthly budget reviews including analysis of variance through models Thorough research and review of assumptions, inputs and results of each project model and budget Preparation and review of annual budget reports Preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly project reports Preparation of costings for project financial reporting purposes Coordination of sales forecasting in conjunction with the Project Directors Coordination of loan repayments to banks and distributions from Joint Ventures Actively improve financial modelling processes and procedures Supporting your minimum 3 - 4 years professional accounting experience you will be a motivated, team focussed individual who enjoys a challenge. With only one week out of 4 per month focussed on BAU, there is signficant scope for working with the business to develop reporting and information to aid decision makers.
